Here are the rules!
>> Any style of animation is welcome - 2D, 3D, stop motion, pixilation, flash, etc.
.
>> Any 3D rig can be used, as long as it is openly available to the public, or your own. Do not use one that has not been publicly distributed, for example - the animation mentor rig.
.
>> You may not edit the sound clip, except to add silence at the beginning or the end.
.
>> Please do not expect faculty to give you critiques for these competitions. The faculty's first priority is their currently enrolled students. You may ask for critiques, but don't expect it, and accept rejection gracefully.
.
>> Do not request that the animations for the 5 Second Club be part of one of your classes. We want to do everything possible to allow for a level playing field between all participants, so extra work time is unfair. These competitions are voluntary and meant to be reserved for your own time.
.
>> Do not participate under an assumed name or otherwise false name. You must participate under your real name.
.
>> Do not be offensive in any way in posts, critiques, the content of your animation, avatars and signatures, or other communications on this board. This forum is frequented by a wide variety of people who may have very different ideas about what is acceptable to them. Any profanity, offensive content, trolling, or harassment will be dealt with severely. There is to be no discrimination over gender, race, nationality, sexual orientation, religious or political views, etc. This forum follows all guidelines and restrictions established by SCAD. Refer to the student handbook for more info.
.
>> Do not complain if no one is critiquing you. Critiques are given on the honor system and there is no way to make sure that their distribution is "fair". It's up to you to develop a network of peers who will give you suggestions. The best way to make this happen is to critique someone first and request that they return the favor.
.
>> You are not allowed to pool votes with friends, vote more than once, or otherwise influence voting. Voting should be based on the quality of the work, and not on popularity or alliances. Violators will be banned if caught.
.
>> New rules and changes may be made at any time at the moderator's convenience. Check back often.
